Founded by an ex-banker out of his passion for fashion, Permian brings to life his dream of a brand that’s sincere, transparent, and closely connected to its community, where creativity and collaboration shape every drop.
As in fashion, the site’s design challenges trends and delivers an unforgettable experience, combining a bold color palette with motion concepts that really bring the brand to life.
By going headless, we separated the storefront from the backend, giving us the freedom to craft a fully custom experience. The result? A fast, immersive site where motion and design feel polished — exactly the way a premium sneaker drop should.
We built Permian as a headless Shopify storefront, using Next.js alongside Payload CMS to manage editorial-style content and dynamic, flexible layouts. Our custom page transition engine enables smooth, motion-rich page-to-page animations that make interacting with the brand feel immersive and engaging.
Decoupling the front-end from Shopify allowed us to push interactive experiences while keeping robust e-commerce functionality, fully optimized for desktop and mobile.
