In cooperation with TCE Presents, our long-standing partner, Broadwick created an unusual cultural space in the heart of the Brooklyn Navy Yard. It required a website like no other.
Following the industrial character of the place, the art direction for the website breaks the rules, merging modernist typography and atmospheric video footage with brutalist colors and layout choices that are anything but ordinary. Guided by Broadwick’s in-house design team, we had a lot of joy bringing their ideas to life.
To meet the needs of the marketing team, we relied on our in-house form handling framework. Integrated with external tools like Mailchimp, it supports multiple forms across the site while maintaining visual consistency. A noteworthy feature we integrated using this toolkit is gated access to the Rental Brochure, allowing users to download detailed materials after submitting their contact details.
To bring the ideas to life, we combined modern browser capabilities in 3D and GPU acceleration. With CSS trickery, we managed to create spatial 3D animations while keeping the content accessible on any device. In addition, we used WebGL to build very performant, fully interactive image galleries used throughout the site.
